Challenge

SAP, the worlds leading software provider, was seeking to fill entry-level positions with people who possessed a high-level of initiative, responsibility and team-spirit, and were willing to embrace change. In order to attract and identify the right people, SAP turned to TMP.

Solution

TMP proposed reaching out to their existing interns for a solution. The interns had already deepened their interests through a successful apprenticeship, internships or foreign experience. This was also cost-effective since there was no need to source the candidate. SAP would create a positive impression with their interns on the very first day with the hopes that it would grow into a full-time position at SAP.

Tactics

TMP Worldwide developed SAP Fast Track; a program that allowed SAP to keep in touch with the top performing 10% of the intern students after their internship was complete. TMP designed and built an exclusive online community that pampered the target audience with offering of support with their studies.

The community is password-protected and able to identify the student from their login information. The login determines the content and functionalities of the website, thus creating a customized web page for each student based on their curriculum and interests. Interns and students receive relevant information about their studies, are able to network with other students, and learn how they should continue working with SAP. Recruiters can access SAP Fast Track and consider the user as a candidate based on their career profile. SAP Fast Track also produces real-time reports for HR Managers to reference when making recruitment decisions.

Results

The SAP Fast Track now has over 360 profiles and is steadily increasing. Both HR Managers and potential job-seekers use it as a viable resource to network. Since it's launch, SAP has on-boarded over 60% of the alumni into permanent hires.
